Governor David Freudenthal spoke to 180 in attendance at a dinner held Thursday at the Evanston Machine Shop. The dinner was part of the Wyoming Community Foundation's Philanthrophy Days convention held in Evanston last week. According to Evanston Community Foundation board member Jan Maggard, many of the guests from around the state offered a great deal of praise regarding "the beauty" of Evanston's Historic Depot and the Machine Shop. Tickets, which will be drawn at the October 12 fundraiser, are $20 each or six for $100 and proceeds will go toward the foundation. Last year, the foundation was able to give $10,000 to local non-profit organizations. Herald photo by Matt Ottinger
