Gov Dave and First Lady Nancy riding during the parade

Governor Dave and First Lady Nancy rode on horseback in the WYO parade today. They were greeted with claps and waves from many people out for the parade. It was a hot Friday with temperatures going up past 100 degrees!  Local supporters were out walking the sides of the parades handing out “Freudenthal Fans,” bumper stickers, lapel stickers, and the popular Gov Dave wristbands. People were taking so many Freudenthal materials that volunteers ran out of supplies before the parade was over.  Luckily, the Freudenthal daughters happened to have extra supplies with them, so everyone had reinforcement materials.

After the parade the Governor, First Lady, and daughter Katie went to Heritage Towers for lunch and some cool air. Burgers were on the grill while acoustic performers sang in the background before lunch was served. The three walked around the tables and visited with people.  Lunch was delicious and Gov Dave even had his favorite beverage, root beer.
