People chatting around the Tailgate Tent
Tailgate Park was buzzing all morning with activity as University of Wyoming (UW) fans from all over the state gathered before the first home football game of the season. Gov Dave and Nancy Freudenthal were there to Cheer on the Pokes, as they are both UW alumni, and talk to folks who wanted to stop by and say hello.  Abbi Crank did an Outstanding job with the campaign tailgate tent and assembling volunteers – many Gov Dave balloons could be seen from across the field, and it was great that the Wind was down and kids were free to run with them without much trouble. Free Gov Dave waters, pop, and candy were helping to Bring people into the booth while they waited to speak to the Governor and First Lady.

The line to sign the Food Sales Tax Petition was winding outside of our booth and needless to say we acquired many signatures. Freudenthal Fast Fact cards illustrating the Overall accomplishments that have been achieved by Gov Dave and the legislature for UW appeared to be a big hit with the crowd.  By the time the game started, there were Gov Dave stickers, balloons, and pins everywhere. Dave and Nancy enjoyed watching the game and seeing the new improvements to the upper deck concourses during half time. They had many good conversations and met many good people throughout the afternoon. Yet, the best part of the day still remained, when the Pokes would go on to Sock Utah State with a final score of 38-7.
