Today Governor Dave and his daughter Katie visited Gillette. The two walked through many businesses to meet employees, starting with First National Bank. They learned more about the banking business in Gillette and how remarkably busy it has become with the recent energy development boom. Dave and Katie next went to Campbell County Memorial Hospital. There, they toured the facility and introduced themselves to employees. The nursery area was very busy, as the birth rates at the hospital are up by about 100 births just this year.

The governor also learned about the state of the art technology employed by the hospital for various health procedures and tests. Two of the most remarkable parts of the hospital were their Cancer Center and the wide range of quality services provided. A patient who recognized the governor told him how great the care was at the hospital and how they appreciate their kind customer service. After visiting the Memorial Hospital, Dave and Katie went to the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. One of the comments by their staff was how much need there is for a larger brain trauma facility in the state. Gov Dave took note and continued to learn more about the beautiful facility.
Later in the afternoon they toured First Interstate Bank. Like First National Bank, First Interstate Bank was a very busy and growing business. They toured four of the floors and talked with employees. Later that evening the First Lady joined the governor at an official event - the annual Gillette Chamber of Commerce Dinner.
