Fagnant welcomed all the visiting dignitaries and other guests to the community and then introduced Diamondville Mayor Susan Hunzie, at right.
A youth panel was formed from individuals from Southwest Wyoming. Each individual spoke on a designated topic related to young people in Wyoming. Then, each member took the stage and the audience asked questions related to today's youth.
Serving on the panel was: Devon Callahan, a high school student from Evanston, who spoke on "Lifestyles in Wyoming;" Bridget Toomer from Uinta High School, who spoke on depression; Luke Tyrrell, a Kemmerer High School senior, who spoke on smoking and marijuana; Kolby Condos, a college student from Lyman who spoke on The Hathaway Scholarship; Gina Sims who spoke on underage drinking; and Kelsey Ketelsen, a single mother from Kemmerer, who spoke on educational funding.
Both mayors traveled with Governor Dave Freudenthal's tour on Monday and Tuesday. The Governor and his entourage toured several sites in and around Evanston, Fort Bridger, Lyman, Mountain View, Opal, LaBarge, Kemmerer, Diamondville and Cokeville.
