Dave Freudenthal is a man composed of integrity, compassion, and loyalty. He is a man I feel both privileged and honored to know. I consider Dave a friend. He has watched me grow up, attended both family celebrations and funerals, sent me encouraging and uplifting notes, and will always and forever be offering both his opinion and "constructive criticism" about the men I choose to date. As a governor, Dave constantly amazes me. He is, by far, one of the most intelligent men I have ever met. His intelligence, combined with his honesty and genuine love of Wyoming and its inhabitants, make him, in my opinion, the most effective governor the state has ever had. In his capacity as governor, Dave has created opportunities for Wyoming residents that have never before existed. Wyoming, to put it simply, is booming. Through Dave's influence I know my younger brothers will be able to attend college with Hathaway scholarships, and I, as a young adult, will be able to remain in Wyoming as well as make a decent living following my graduation from college. To Dave, this job is not just a step on the political or cooperate ladder. Being governor, to Dave, is not for money, prestige, or recognition. To Dave this job is an opportunity to give back to the state and people who gave him the opportunity to become who he is today. Dave dearly loves the people of Wyoming. He has personally touched the lives of nearly all those he comes into contact with. Unlike many politicians, Dave strives to better the lives of the people of Wyoming, as opposed to striving for his own personal gain. Dave is selfless and moral. In this campaign as well as his previous one, I have never seen Dave not take the "high road." Time and again I have seen Dave attacked in slanderous and back-handed ways, though, however justified, I have not once seen Dave lash back or strike out at attacking parties. Wyoming is blessed to have Dave as their governor, ally, and friend. I truly count my blessings to know Dave. He is a number of things; father, husband, friend, governor, outdoorsman, etc. but, simply, and I believe most importantly, Dave is an incredible human being. His honesty, integrity, intelligence, selflessness, compassion, and love are reflected in every aspect of his life.
