Dave visited our school right after he was elected but before he took office. He came to our room alone; without a press person, and without security. He even drove himself over to the school. He took off his jacket and sat down with the children as if he had nothing else to do. He posed for over 100 photographs with students which later turned into delightful refrigerator magnets. Governor Dave never acted like he was in a hurry or that our questions were unimportant. He answered every question we asked, even those that were "not so comfortable." The children had some questions that Gov. Dave couldn't answer yet, like "how do you like the job" and "is the Governor's mansion nice?" Later I ran into the Governor at a local fundraiser here in Casper and I was so impressed when he remembered me and said, "Please tell your class that the job is ok and the house is great!" Governor Dave is great!

Thirty years ago, as an 18 year old, I cast my first vote. Even though, President Ford didn't win, voting was exciting. Living in the Washington DC area taught me many things about Government and politics. One of which is that your shouldn't vote for someone just because they were from the same political party as you. You must vote for the best person for the job. In the case of the Wyoming Governor's race, that person is Governor Dave Freudenthal. In the past four years, his policies have improved our economy notably. He has taken the high road when his political opponents have sunken to big city tactics with negative attacks on him. It is with great honor that this long time Republican supports the re-election of Governor Freudental.

Here's to a governor with intelligence, integrity and values. May we support him, thank him, encourage him and above all...re-elect him!

Dave is one of the smartest people I know in Wyoming... and smart about Wyoming. He is grounded in a street-sense, practical way. He knows how to talk with people of all walks of life, but he doesn't pander. He has a phenomenal agility of mind for analysis of today's issues. He has people of all stripes in his administration, and they're there because of their ability, not for any ideology. He gets things done. He's smart, effective and skilled at governing. And it's not about his ego, it's about Wyoming. With Dave you get the best of the best. It's what I think public service should be about.

Gov Dave keeps the door to his office open at all times for anybody to walk in, sit down, and share their concerns with him personally. When your Governor is this accessible, I don't care if he has an "R" or a "D" next to his name.

I don't always agree with Gov Dave on all issues but what I know is that he makes his decisions on what he believes is best for this state and on what he thinks is right. He does this with integrity and a lot of thought. That is why I'm supporting Gov. Dave's reelection bid.

I believe in Governor Dave for many reasons, but one is his ability to talk to different interests and seek out a solution that the majority of folks can be happy with. A few weeks ago, Gov. Dave was in Jackson at the annual Land Trust Picnic, and he talked about harmonizing interests. In that case, he was talking about gas drilling in Wyoming, and he said, "it doesn't have to be all or nothing." I think it's so refreshing to hear a political leader who understands negotiation and collaboration, and I appreciate that Gov. Dave remembers that when he approaches so many issues.

Carolynn and I are life long Republicans but we always vote for the most experienced and qualified person in any race and for this current race for Governor, Governor Freudenthal is clearly that person.

The best thing about Governor Dave is that he always speaks from the same side of his mouth and his opinions are crystal clear. How refreshing!!! He must have failed Double Talk 101.

With his most welcome bipartisanship, and his "get the job done - - - let the credit fall where it may" attitude, Dave is the type of leader we all need - - - and all too rarely get. I waited for years for such a leader, both regionally and nationally, and they are rare on the ground. I might add that the only other one I can remember was in my Connecticut days - - Senator and later Justice Abe Ribicoff. That was forty years ago, and during my staunchly Republican days.

I am very impressed with how our Governor is managing the business of the State. Specifically, I have heard first hand from him about how we can continue with improvements in our conservation initiatives and also have responsible business growth - all at the same time.

Governor Freudenthal is what the
state of Wyoming needs for providing leadership. This great state has a very serious problem with Methamphetamine and it's not going to go away, so we need to figure out a way to deal with it. Governor Freudenthal is handling this problem in the best way possible. He supports the tough laws we need for our Meth problem, but he is also open to trying new approaches to deal with this problem. Our jails are over-crowded with Meth users. Some Meth users need to sit in jail and not be allowed on the streets, but there are also Meth addicts that need an option other than jail. They need treatment so that we can make them contributing members to our communities. Governor Freudenthal supports these efforts to allow addicts who want treatment to receive it from participating in Drug Courts and other treatment programs. We are very fortunate to have a governor who is willing to consider all options for the problems that Wyoming faces.

Through Dave's influence I know my younger brothers will be able to attend college with Hathaway scholarships, and I, as a young adult, will be able to remain in Wyoming as well as make a decent living following my graduation from college.

I have always believed that people gravitate toward someone who "takes their job seriously, but not themselves". Working with the Governor on a number of projects, I believe his first goal is fairness. I have not met a governor or a candidate for governor who is as well versed in virtually all relevant topics involving the state. You don't get the feeling you are talking to a politician when talking to Dave. My experience is that he is convicted in his beliefs and uncompromising in his values. And then there's Nancy.

Gov Dave has put Wyoming ahead of politics. He has successfully governed on behalf of the people and not either political party: and that's how it should be. It's a tremendously refreshing change from national politics right now too. As a conservative, I support him wholeheartedly for re-election.
